Reading: Climbing Mountains by Osman Gulum

It’s a long weekend for us Canadians. It is sunny and warm and I have a few hours to myself. I’m going to continue reading a lovely novel by Osman Gulum called Climbing Mountains. The story is about Osman’s life journey from a very small village in Turkey to the cosmopolitan Istanbul and finally to the UK.  The story reminds me a bit of my own novel Almost a Turkish Soap Opera, where the main characters struggle to find opportunities in North America.

I am enjoying Osman’s style of writing and look forward to reading a few chapters today. I will post my review when I’m done.
