The Literary Chain Letter aka ‘My Writing Process’

Chain letter and Anne-Rae's Writing Process Thanks to the author of award winning book "Sendero" Max Tomlinson who dared to tag me (along with authors Jill Nojack  and Tess Collins) in a literary chain letter.  I normally toss chain letter requests in the trash but this one intrigued me.  Also, I don't ever want to get on Max's bad side. I heard he knows some people... but I digress. Is Writing … [Read more...]

Featured GoodReads Authors

I am participating in this author-to-author blog tour which is like a game of tag. An author tags five other authors and post their latest work in progress on their blog. I was tagged by Sheila Callaham, author of Truth Runs Deep, a story of mystery, suspense and murder. I have it in my reading list and can't wait to start. Now that I've been tagged, I am supposed to write about the latest … [Read more...]

Review by Ravina on the 8th stop of my Book Tour and wonderful surprises

Today I came home exhausted mentally, not expecting anything but curling up in a ball and falling asleep in front of the fireplace. When I checked my email, I found a beautiful review on Amazon and GoodReads for my poetry book Gathering Dust which lifted my spirits. This really meant a lot to me because poetry was my first form of creative writing. As a child and early teens and then to … [Read more...]

Review of The Burqa Master by Cid Andrenelli

The Burqa Master by Cid Andrenelli Satire at its finest mixed with a handful of Persian saffron spice The Burqa Master by Cid Andrenelli is a satirical, tongue-in-cheek look at the lives of a multi-generational Persian family living in a cramped apartment in London. The comedy is told in the style of a play with literary elements of a novel. As a film maker myself and also having … [Read more...]

Review: A Song for Nemesis by Len Harper

A thrilling ride…almost like watching an action mystery thriller movie… My rating: 5 out of 5 stars A political thriller that will appeal to readers across multiple genres, A Song for Nemesis is like watching a James Bond movie. With strong characters and a fast paced plot, I could not put the book down once I started. The story’s main character, Enrique, is introduced to the reader as a … [Read more...]

Good read: Tendrils of Life by Owen Choi

I read Tendrils of Life by Owen Choi and was very touched by the story. Tendrils of Life takes you through the turmoil of war in Korea at the end of World War II and the Pacific War with the surrender of the Empire of Japan. Choi writes a detailed narrative of the plight of the Korean people during the time-frame when their beloved country is torn in two by outside forces. He weaves the historical … [Read more...]

GoodReads

I love reading books.  It is the only thing that releases me from the daily stresses of life. I was introduced to GoodReads over the year by some loyal fans of my film and web series. I'm new to the community but loving logging in and meeting other authors and readers (virtually). I enjoy reading the reviews and adding books to my shelf.   Anne-Rae Vasquez's books on Goodreads … [Read more...]
